ICF credential Mentoring for certified coaches

If you are a coach looking to earn your ACC, PCC, or MCC credential with the gold standard in coaching, the International Coach Federation (ICF), then part of your journey is to receive mentoring.

What is ICF Mentoring for your credential?

ICF mentoring is a very specific relationship between a coach and their mentor to help the coach polish their presence, create a sample submission recording for ICF evaluation, and better understand the ICF Core Competencies and how they apply in real-life coaching situations.

How does mentoring help?

My goal in mentoring you for your ICF credential is not just to have you create a submission call that we think will pass evaluation, because that level of listening is NOT where your practice and effectiveness as a coach will stop. (FYI - NO mentor can guarantee that any call will pass, but those of us who’ve been doing it for a bit have a pretty good sense of what will fly and what won’t.)

My goal is to help you improve your awareness, deepen your listening skills beyond the base requirement for the credential you’re going after, and understand how you are showing up in the coach’s chair so you can discover a more powerful coaching presence.

(FYI – One of my PCC recordings didn’t pass on the first review…AND I AM GLAD IT DIDN’T. The depth of knowledge and understanding that came from that learning opportunity was immense. I have a deep respect and understanding of what it takes to create a successful evaluation recording.)*

How long will it take?

ICF mentoring requires 10 hours of meetings over a minimum of 3 months (approximately 14 weeks).

Group Mentoring for Your ACC Credential

Group work offers a more affordable mentoring experience along with the support of your fellow mentees.

While the ICF allows for up to 10 participants per group, I personally find that this does not allow for a more personalized experience, which is where the impact on your coaching skills takes place.

My groups are exclusively limited to 5 participants.

The schedule

Group mentoring is a mix of pre-scheduled group meetings with flexible 1:1 individual sessions.

The next ACC group begins on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 9A Pacific/10A Mtn, 11A Central/Noon East.

How is group mentoring different than individual mentoring?

Group work offers the support of your fellow coaches on the journey, as well as a reduced cost for participation.

Individual mentoring allows for a completely flexible schedule to create the 10 hours of required meetings.

In group work, 6 hours of sessions take place over 4 meetings (90 minutes each) that are pre-scheduled at a specific day and time. See calendar above.

The remaining 4 hours of meetings are flexible one-hour individual sessions where you’ll receive detailed, personal attention and feedback on your coaching recordings.

The investment

My exclusive group program is $1,500 per participant.

ACC applicants choosing this mentoring process will apply to the ICF through the ACSTH application pathway. As of this writing (March 10, 2024), the ICF pricing for this pathway is $525 for non-members and $375 for ICF Members.

Be sure to check the ICF website for current pricing.

NOTE: No mentor can guarantee their client’s submission call success.

individual Mentoring for Your Credential

ACC, PCC or MCC, what is your goal?

I’m here to support you not only to achieve your credential, but also to help you take your coaching presence to the next level too.

How is individual mentoring different than group mentoring?

Individual mentoring is completely flexible in scheduling, and gives us the opportunity to really work together to hone your coaching presence and perfect your submission call.

Each time we meet for one hour, we’ll either dive deep into your next sample call, or discuss your most recent coaching challenge so you can apply the learning to your next client session.

The work here is focused and intense. By the end of it, my goal for you is to have at least two possible submission calls to choose from for your ICF application.

ACC applicants choosing this mentoring process will apply to the ICF through the ACSTH application pathway.

PCC and MCC candidates will use the Portfolio pathway.

The investment

My intense individual mentoring is $2,500.

NOTE: No mentor can guarantee their client’s submission call success.

Why choose Daniel to be your mentor?

100% ICF Credential Success

That’s why I am very, very methodical when it comes to reviewing sample recordings and providing feedback for my mentee’s growth.

I’ve helped 4 clients to challenge questionable ICF evaluations, and we have won every challenge! That can only happen when you know the process and expectations better than the ultimate evaluators.

If you’re looking for a mentor for your ICF credential application, you can rest assured that I will have your back through the entire process. My mission is to increase your effectiveness and impact, not just earn your credential.

Click the form below to send me an email. Let’s chat about your credentialing goals.

Over the past three years, I have mentored 100 coaches to achieve their credentials with a 100% success rate!

How is that possible? By knowing the process and knowing when to fight.

Based on my experience with having one of my recordings rejected, and then approved, I realized that while the International Coaching Federation’s process appears to be objective, it is actually a very subjective process. Everybody can have a bad day or even bring a bias to the sessions they are hearing.

I won’t allow an evaluator’s bad day or bias interfere with my client’s approval.
